AML Instruments Ltd is a well-established and ambitious provider of calibration and test equipment, accredited to UKAS ISO 17025. As part of our continued growth, we are looking to expand our engineering team with an experienced Site-Based Calibration Engineer.
The Role
You’ll deliver on-site calibration services at customer locations throughout the UK (and occasionally overseas), covering a broad range of disciplines including:
- Mass
- Dimensional
- Electrical
- Temperature
- Pressure
- Torque
- Force
- Rheology
- Optical equipment
Training will be provided for areas outside your current expertise. Expect an average of 2 nights per week away from home. Some travel to Europe and further afield may be required occasionally.
What You’ll Need
We’re looking for a hands-on engineer with:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in calibration, with expertise in at least two of the following disciplines: electrical, dimensional, optical, mass, torque, pressure, force or temperature.
- Strong understanding of calibration principles and practices.
- Electrical calibration experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of BS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and Transmille ProCal software is a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proven ability to work independently.
- A flexible, positive attitude – early starts (5–6 am) and occasional fifth-day or weekend work may be required.
- Full UK driving licence (3 points or fewer).
