Then apply today!We are currently recruiting for a Calibration Engineer to be responsible for all aspects of electrical instrument calibration to national standards and to liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure they receive a first-class service.Quality is the heart of STI’s business, and a significant measure of our quality is the successful delivery of product to our customers. Maintaining high quality ensures that products meet specifications, comply with industry standards, and minimizes costs associated with rework and recalls. The role of Calibration Engineer is key to maintaining these high standards.Some of the main responsibilities for this role include:Ensuring that mandatory and legislative QH&S / HS&E aspects of work are implemented at all times and that adequate training and dissemination of knowledge on safety and other general matters is given to relevant staffControl and management of company assets, making sure Production requirements are met and ensuring audit compliance.Managing and controlling calibration requirements for all monitoring and measuring instrumentation to national UKAS standardsManaging calibration database and records – including documenting and inputting data and results into the relevant system and maintaining the calibration database and filing systemMaintaining calibration certification and filesAssisting in the development and improvement of inspection and calibration proceduresEnsuring customer satisfaction and timely turnaround of all equipment and servicesSupporting Product Quality Engineers as requiredSupporting RMA and FAI processesSupporting internal / external audits where required by the Quality Manager within the customer facilityParticipating in interlaboratory measurement auditsFor this role you will need:Strong experience in calibrationDesirable – PCB Assembly and inspection experienceGood understanding of international standardsGood knowledge of Microsoft Office packagesGeneral understanding of Quality functionWe offer 23 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays & Flex Days), early finish on a Friday, Flexible working opportunities, Company Pension Scheme, Health Cash Back Scheme, a range of discounts and excellent training and development opportunities.
