An established precision engineering company, specialising in complex components for motorsport, automotive, and marine applications, is looking for an experienced CAD/CAM Programmer to join their programming team. Working on small-batch, high-quality components, this is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in a fast-paced, high-performance sector.The RoleYou will be responsible for creating machining strategies using CAM software to manufacture composite components to customer specifications. This includes programming for 3- and 5-axis machines, working with materials such as Rohacell and Carbon Fibre. Key ResponsibilitiesGenerate safe, efficient machining strategies using CAM software based on customer CAD dataProgram 3- and 5-axis CNC machines to manufacture high-precision composite partsInterpret technical drawings and tolerance specificationsWork closely with Workshop and Quality teams to ensure accuracy and efficiencySkills & Experience RequiredProficient in CAM programming, ideally with Hypermill other CAM packages will be considered.Experience programming for 3- and 5-axis CNC machining centresStrong knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerance requirements, and quality standardsTeam player with strong communication skills and a proactive approachInterest in motorsport and composite manufacturing (desirable)On offer is a competitive salary along with an opportunity to produce high end composite components for some of the biggest names across a number of industries.Click to apply and Kieran Evans will be in contact to discuss the finer details.
