We are currently hiring multiple Specialist Consultants across the following areas: Pain Medicine, Psychiatry, Neurology, and Women's Health.
Location: Remote (UK-based)
Contract Type: Contractor / Self-Employed
Pay Rate: Equivalent to £195 p/h

We are seeking experienced Specialist Consultants to join us on a contractor basis, providing independent clinical services via telemedicine. This role offers a high degree of autonomy and flexibility, suited to established clinicians who are confident working independently while contributing to a collaborative MDT.
As a consulting clinician, you will assess, diagnose, and prescribe CBPMs in line with UK legislation and best practice (GMC, NICE). You will take a holistic approach to patient care, recognising the complexity of treatment-resistant conditions and the importance of personalised treatment pathways beyond conventional options.

Please note this is a self-employed contractor role, and clinicians must hold appropriate professional indemnity insurance and maintain their own registrations and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial and follow-up consultations via telemedicine
- Assess patient suitability for CBPMs through detailed review of medical history and prior treatments
- Prescribe CBPMs in line with UK legislation and GMC/NICE guidance
- Develop personalised treatment plans and monitor efficacy and safety
- Manage complex and treatment-resistant conditions using a holistic approach
- Maintain accurate, compliant clinical records (e.g. Meddbase or similar)
- Work collaboratively within an MDT (GPs, pharmacists, nurses, IPs)
- Participate in clinical governance activities (audits, peer review, case discussions)
- Contribute to MDT case reviews where appropriate
- Stay up to date with developments in cannabinoid medicine and regulatory changes
- Full registration and licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register (e.g. Pain, Neurology, Oncology, Psychiatry)
- Medical degree with CCT (or equivalent)
- Valid professional indemnity insurance suitable for private practice
- CPD or postgraduate training in cannabinoid medicine
- Certification or training in CBPM prescribing
- Experience in clinical research, audit, or publication
- Membership of relevant Royal College
- Experience managing complex/chronic or treatment-resistant conditions
- Strong evidence-based clinical decision-making
- Experience in a regulated healthcare environment (e.g. CQC)
- Experience delivering care via telemedicine
- Commitment to safe, ethical, patient-centred prescribing
- Experience in medical cannabis or private healthcare
- Experience prescribing Controlled Drugs (CDs), ideally CBPMs
- Understanding of UK regulatory frameworks (incl. Home Office requirements)
- Background in pain, neurology, psychiatry, oncology, or palliative care
- Involvement in innovative or emerging treatment approaches
- Strong communication and patient engagement
- Ability to build rapport and manage sensitive discussions
- High level of clinical judgement and risk assessment
- Strong organisation and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and within an MDT
- Adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- UK-based and eligible to prescribe in the UK
- Comfortable working in a private telehealth model
- Strong understanding of clinical governance, audit, and prescribing accountability
- Awareness of UK CBPM regulatory landscape (incl. CDs/Home Office)
- Commitment to ongoing CPD
- Confident discussing non-traditional treatment pathways
