An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced RF Technical Lead to join a specialist engineering team at the forefront of advanced defence technologies. This role sits within a highly innovative environment focused on next-generation systems, offering the chance to work on cutting-edge RF and electromagnetic solutions.

Location: Bristol

Salary: Circa £65,000 depending on experience

Working Model: Primarily onsite, up to 5 days per week

The Role:

  • Lead technical delivery across advanced RF-focused engineering programmes
  • Manage and guide a multi-disciplinary team working across modelling, design, and testing activities
  • Oversee electromagnetic modelling, system architecture assessments, and RF testing
  • Collaborate closely with design leadership to support key technical decisions and trade studies
  • Drive the development of complex RF systems within a highly regulated environment
  • Take ownership of project planning, delivery milestones, and budget management
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration across engineering and programme teams

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience delivering engineering development projects within complex environments
  • Strong expertise in at least one of the following: high power RF systems, electromagnetic modelling, RF testing, electrical or electronic architecture, or EMC design
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to guide and develop technical teams
  • Degree qualified in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience in project planning, coordination, and delivery
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Candidates must be British citizens and willing to undergo security clearance
  • Clearance checks will be required as part of the onboarding process
