CPS Group is recruiting for a Compliance Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Bristol. This role is key to ensuring products meet all relevant regulatory and industry standards across design, production, testing, and service.

You'll provide compliance guidance across the full product lifecycle, working closely with engineering and NPI teams to ensure all products meet current legislation and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure new products meet relevant directives and standards
  • Create, review, and maintain technical documentation
  • Conduct risk assessments and compliance evaluations
  • Identify non-conformities and drive corrective actions (FRACAS)
  • Lead and document safety reviews
  • Support external inspections (UL, CSA, SEMI S2)
  • Conduct EMC emissions testing and support immunity testing
  • Develop compliance processes, guidelines, and training
  • Support documentation such as work instructions and test procedures
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain product compliance
  • Occasionally support customer visits, including international travel
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences (HNC/HND also considered)
  • Background in electro-mechanical systems (plasma equipment experience desirable)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with a practical, methodical approach
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders
