Vita Health Group (VHG) - part of wider Spire Healthcare Group - are looking for a clinically focused, confident and forward-thinking Principal Clinical Lead to support the core aspects of clinical service/proposition development, customer focus, clinical oversight and governance within our Mental Health services.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Professional to play a pivotal role at the heart of Spire's strategic ambitions. You will lead the mental health teams, ensuring services are delivered in line with the current evidence base and meet all customer and contractual clinical requirements. Through strong clinical leadership, you will support the achievement of key clinical KPIs while maintaining the highest standards of safety and effectiveness.
In this collaborative role, you will partner closely with the Mental Health Operations Lead to support the operational and commercial elements of the service. By providing clear, expert clinical guidance, you will help ensure Spire Workplace Health continues to be recognised as a trusted, safe, and efficient provider of mental health services for our corporate customers.
Essential Requirements:
- Post graduate qualification in CBT, equivalent to NHS TT high intensity with associated full accreditation with BABCP.
- Qualified, Registered Mental Health Professional i.e. practitioner psychologist, mental health nurse, occupational therapist (registered with relevant professional body, i.e. HCPC, NMC, GMC).
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Supervision Qualification/recognised CPD in supervision.
- Experienced in leading and managing psychological therapy services, including to primary care, and of providing clinical leadership for practitioners in a range of psychological therapies (a corporate climate is desirable not essential).
Key Responsibilities:
- To work with Operational & Clinical Leads to ensure that Spire Workplace Health Mental Health Services deliver on KPIs and targets set both internally and by customers.
- Maintain standards of patient safety and will act as a point of escalation for risk and safeguarding concerns.
- Support with clinical training, CPD, and improvement initiatives aligned with commercial strategy – i.e., Bids, wider colleague training, service improvements, policy updates.
- Lead by example by behaving maintaining moral and ethical standards in line with Spire, VHG and NHS constitutional values.
- Provide visible leadership for all members of the team on clinical and patient safety issues.

- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and engagement across teams, modelling best practice in clinical collaboration, direction, and accountability.
- Highly organised, able to effectively prioritise and manage key activities and strategic initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- A confident decision-maker, who applies clinical knowledge and professional experience to make evidence‐based judgements and recommendations.
- IT competent, with the capability to navigate and manage multiple digital platforms and clinical systems efficiently.
- Adaptable and an effective communicator, able to tailor communication style to engage clinical, operational, network, and customer service colleagues, as well as a diverse range of customers and service users.
