Our client is a well-established manufacturing organisation based in the South Coast, seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to optimise production processes and drive continuous improvement.

This Manufacturing Engineer role is central to improving operational efficiency across our client's production environment. You'll lead process optimisation initiatives, reduce waste and cycle times whilst maintaining their exceptional quality standard. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll implement tooling and material improvements, conduct root cause analysis and drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives that directly improve manufacturing performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimise assembly processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste and enhance overall production output
  • Implement tooling and material improvements to support manufacturing objectives
  • Analyse and reduce cycle times whilst maintaining 99.99% quality standards consistently
  • Support lifecycle manufacturing activities from design through to production
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve manufacturing challenges
  • Drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives across production operations
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain and production teams on continuous improvement projects
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements and operational excellence
Who They’re Looking For:
  • Proven manufacturing engineering experience in electromechanical assembly environments
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and root cause analysis methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience optimising assembly lines and manufacturing processes
  • Mechanical bias with electronic exposure and knowledge of electromechanical assemblies
  • Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
  • CAD knowledge (SolidWorks or Inventor preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and within teams
  • Proactive approach with hands-on problem-solving mindset
