Who we areLMI Live is a dynamic London-based live music agency on the hunt for a fantastic Bookings Manager and combined all-rounder to join our team. We create and book some of the world’s top cover bands to the private and corporate events market; check out our roster before applying – you’ll need to love these acts! Our clients expect the highest possible level of service and expertise, so our office team needs to match our bands as the absolute best in the business. The roleYour job will be fast-paced and varied. You will manage each booking from the point of sign-off to the show, fixing musicians and crew, acting as our clients’ and musicians’ primary point of contact, pulling together schedules, and supporting the Managing Director with a wide and varied range of tasks. We’re looking for someone obsessively organised with excellent EQ and people skills, who can handle a pressurised To Do list at high speed without dropping the ball. Rock-solid attention to detail, administrative perfectionism and the ability to juggle many tasks at once are a must. Please do not apply unless supremely confident in your existing admin skills – we’ll need you to hit the ground running, and will provide in-depth training over an initial trial period. A musical and/or events background is also very helpful. You’ll need the confidence to thrive in this vibrant industry, together with the motivation and focus to work hard and consistently from a mixture of home and the office. You will need to communicate with people from many walks of life articulately, persuasively and accurately, with perfect spoken & written English. Our bookings diary is very seasonal, so outside high summer and high winter season it’s likely we’ll need you to step in to support us in other roles. If you have skills in website and/or video editing, copywriting, design, social media, marketing or sales, we’ll put them to good use: please elaborate as much as possible in your cover letter. If we feel you have the confidence and calm to effectively run shows on-site, we’ll also train you in live gig management (paid on top). We’ll encourage you to cultivate and develop your own ideas in a fun, friendly and supportive environment, backed by our team of experts from many walks of the music, events and performance world. We understand that some candidates may require flexible working arrangements due to family commitments and/or location, which we’re happy to discuss. Your hard work will be rewarded with trust, responsibility and respect; we’re a lovely, warm and energetic bunch of people with a fantastic team ethos, and expect the same from you. Salary & key detailsStarting salary will be £24-29,000 per annum (based on a 4-day working week) subject to experience, with the potential opportunity to take on additional paid show management work. We may be able to consider a 3-day week for a fantastic administrator, or a 5-day week if you bring strong skills in other roles. You’ll initially be covering a 6-month maternity leave, with the strong likelihood of a new full-time role being created to follow, subject to performance and the company’s needs approaching that time; happy to elaborate further in phone interview. On this basis, we’re looking for candidates hoping to remain with us over the medium-to-long term. Longlisted candidates will be offered a phone interview followed by an in-person interview for shortlisted candidates. Please email jobs@lmilive.com with your CV and a cover letter tailored to this position (essential) summarising why you’d like to join us and what you can bring to the table. Make it snappy and memorable! We’ll respond to applicants being offered a phone interview, after which we’ll invite those shortlisted to an interview at our office.
