Overview
This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer looking to work a days-only based role with a major manufacturing company in the area. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be joining a stable team with low turnover where you will play a key part in company growth. Main priorities for the Mechanical Engineer will include ensuring the factory is running up to speed and production levels are maintained.
Responsibilities for the Mechanical Engineer:
- Proactive maintenance and site PMs
- Reactive maintenance and responding to breakdowns quickly
- Working across mechanical faults and maintenance
- Working on Engineering projects (e.g. commissioning, installations, relocations)
- Identifying and implementing improvements covering both processes and machine output
- Adhering to site Health & safety rules and legislation on site
Requirements for the Mechanical Engineer:
- Time-served / recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject
- Experience working in a mechanical or multi-skilled role
- Ability to and experience of working to a fast pace, ideally confident in a manufacturing environment
