We are partnering with an innovative UK digital healthcare provider to appoint a Fractional UK Medical Lead to support the growth of a rapidly scaling remote weight management service. This is a senior clinical leadership opportunity for a doctor with strong experience in obesity medicine, metabolic health, endocrinology, or GLP-1 prescribing, combined with a solid understanding of telemedicine and online prescribing governance.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing safe, scalable prescribing frameworks and supporting high-quality patient care within a fast-moving digital health environment.
The Role
- Develop and refine GLP-1 prescribing protocols and clinical frameworks
- Support complex patient reviews and escalation pathways
- Contribute to governance, audits, and clinical safety processes
- Help ensure compliance within a UK private healthcare/CQC-regulated setting
- Work closely with operational, pharmacy, and product teams
- Translate clinical logic into scalable digital workflows and systems
- Support both asynchronous and synchronous consultation models
Requirements
- GMC registered doctor with an active UK licence to practise
- Strong experience in obesity management, metabolic health, endocrinology, or weight management
- Experience prescribing GLP-1 medications
- Good understanding of UK telemedicine and remote prescribing
- Experience with governance, audits, protocols, or clinical frameworks
- Comfortable operating within a fast-paced digital healthcare environment
- Commercially aware while maintaining high clinical standards
Desirable Experience
- Off-label GLP-1 protocol development
- Leadership experience within digital health or telemedicine
- Experience working with product/technology teams
- Startup or scale-up healthcare experience
Package
- £90–£120 per hour plus equity
