An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a leading Tier 1 M&E Contractor delivering a major £7m student accommodation development in Birmingham.

Working within an established project delivery team, the successful candidate will take full responsibility for the mechanical package from pre-construction through to commissioning and final handover, ensuring successful delivery in line with programme, budget and quality expectations.

This role offers the opportunity to join a well-respected contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work across the Midlands and nationally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full mechanical delivery of a £7m student accommodation scheme
  • Coordinate subcontractors, labour and specialist suppliers on site
  • Drive programme delivery and manage installation activities through all project phases
  • Oversee quality assurance, commissioning and project handover processes
  • Manage procurement, material scheduling and technical coordination
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants and internal teams
  • Ensure all works are delivered in line with health & safety and compliance requirements
  • Support commercial management and overall project performance
Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience operating as a Mechanical Project Manager within the Building Services / M&E sector
  • Previous experience delivering residential, student accommodation or major commercial developments
  • Strong understanding of mechanical building services installations and project delivery
  • Excellent leadership, coordination and communication skills
  • Experience working for Tier 1 contractors or leading M&E contractors preferred
