About Us: We are a specialist joinery workshop based in Medway, Kent, delivering high-quality, made-to-measure joinery solutions for both commercial and residential clients. Our expertise includes certified fire door manufacturing and the creation of luxury bespoke wine storage units. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled Bench Joiner to join our dedicated team.
The Role: This is a hands-on workshop-based role ideal for a joiner with a keen eye for detail and a passion for precision. You will be working on a variety of projects, including the assembly and finishing of fire-rated doors and the crafting of custom wine units tailored to client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture and assemble fire doors to industry standards and certifications
- Build bespoke wine units using hardwoods, veneers, and specialist finishes
- Interpret technical drawings and cutting lists accurately
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and quality control
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bench joiner in a workshop environment
- Strong understanding of fire door construction and compliance (preferred)
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and finishing skills
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience with luxury or bespoke joinery
- Knowledge of fire door certification processes
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent
