Job Title: Associate Structural EngineerLocation: Truro, Cornwall / HybridSalary: £55,000- £65,000 PA- DOEJob Type: Permanent, Full timeJOIN THE FORM CONSULTING ENGINEERS TEAM as an Associate Structural Engineer!Are you looking for a new opportunity with a growing, thriving and friendly consultancy?We have opportunities within our engineering team and would welcome discussing this with any passionate Structural Engineers!About the company-Based in Truro, Form Consulting Engineers operate throughout Devon and Cornwall, offer a full range of Structural, Civil Engineering and Party Wall services.Form Consulting Engineers currently work mostly in the residential and commercial sectors on a wide spectrum of projects that range in size from small domestic alterations up to large multi-million-pound projects in interesting locations.What are we looking for?7+ years post-graduate experience.Based in or can travel to Truro, Cornwall.Proven technical knowledge and experience of delivering projects from concept design to tender stage.Current experience of leading and managing engineering projects as the principal point of contact.Excellent knowledge of standard engineering practices, techniques, procedures, and Structural principles.You must hold a suitable engineering degree MEng/BEng in engineering, ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership with the IStructE.Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, analysis and technical design ability are essential and are considered key attributes for the role.Experience in delivering Party Wall Surveys is desirable but not essential.What you’ll be doing-Project reviewing, fee proposal and tender document preparation for prospective clients at domestic and commercial level. Undertake inspections of existing buildings and site visits before and during construction to confirm design compliance and suitability for conversion. Oversee project delivery, budgeting, invoicing and client management.
