Associate – Oil & Gas Our client is seeking a high-calibre Associate to join its Energy & Infrastructure group in London, with a particular focus on oil and gas. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist team that plays a pivotal role advising on complex, high-value transactions and projects within the sector — including energy transition-related work.OverviewThe group sits at the forefront of the oil and gas legal market, supporting global clients across the upstream, midstream and downstream value chain. The team works with an international client base spanning independent producers, major utilities, funds, and energy investors on high-impact mandates across regions including the UKCS, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and continental Europe.Its lawyers advise on transactions and commercial contracts across traditional hydrocarbon operations as well as emerging energy transition projects involving hydrogen, CCUS, battery storage, and electrification of infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesAdvising on acquisitions, disposals, and joint ventures involving energy assetsSupporting the development and financing of major energy projectsAdvising on infrastructure arrangements, including FPSOs, pipelines, terminals, and shippingWorking on cross-border mandates alongside sector specialists in finance, regulatory, and projectsCandidate RequirementsCandidates from 1 to 7 years’ PQE will be considered. Strong experience in energy M&A, projects, or oil and gas commercial contracts is essential. Exposure to cross-border work or complex supply chain matters is a plus. Those with broader transactional or infrastructure experience and a clear interest in the energy sector are also encouraged to apply.
