A top tier construction and property consultancy has recently secured a significant commission in the life sciences sector, delivering a high-profile, technically complex development locally near Surrey. As part of this exciting growth, the firm is looking to appoint an Associate Director to Director level Project Manager to lead on this flagship scheme.
This is a rare opportunity to join the leadership team on one of the UK’s most ambitious life sciences projects. You’ll work closely with blue-chip clients and stakeholders, overseeing delivery of cost and commercial management or project leadership services, depending on your skillset.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the design and build project from inception to completion.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets with other suppliers.
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Prepare and present project reports and documentation.
- Maintain a strong Health and Safety Culture throughout the supply chain.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Administer contracts, namely the JCT D&B contract, ensuring compliance and managing any changes or disputes.
- General contract administration skills, such as preparing and reviewing contract documents, managing contract performance, and ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
- Experience in life sciences or similar projects is preferred.
- Proficiency in using JCT contracts.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
