About the Role:

The Assistant Fabrication/Engineering Buyer will support the Procurement Manager in sourcing and costing bespoke fabricated components, fixings, fittings, and stock parts—primarily for seating projects, but occasionally across other verticals. This is a developmental role with the opportunity to take on full responsibility within 6–12 months, as the business continues to grow and adopt new systems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support in sourcing and procuring bespoke fabricated parts and materials, including associated fixings and fittings.
  • Assist with evaluating supplier quotations, placing and reconciling purchase orders, and tracking deliveries.
  • Collate and interpret technical and design documentation to inform procurement decisions.
  • Liaise with preferred and new suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials for project installations and rental stock.
  • Contribute to procurement costing activities for new projects.
  • Support implementation of procurement systems and processes in line with business growth.
  • Help maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
