Assistant Buyer (Branded)Based in Swindon (3 days in the office)Salary – £26,000 – £28,000I am looking for an Assistant Buyer with experience on multiple category areas to join a sports and outdoor clothing and accessories brand. The role will be part of the Accessories team and you will be assisting the Buyer in the selection and buying of ranges for retail, ecommerce, B2B and mail order.A bit more about the role:Support in presentations for sign off meetings and the seasonal review process to key stakeholders.Work closely with Marketing and Visual Merchandising to generate and communicate key product direction.Work with the Ecommerce team to optimise the website.Support the buyer with seasonal category and brand buying strategy to deliver profitable departments.Build supplier relationships and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best price and margin for the product.Monitor, report and react to product sales performance.Support the buyers at regular range reviews to senior management.Analysing trends and manage competitor analysis.Manage the sample management process.Reviewing and understanding weekly trading performance and achieved KPI’s with Merchandisers, providing insight and suggesting actions.Completing store visits to ensure the key priorities of the go to market strategy are being adhered to and collections are landing as planned.What they are looking for:Experience working as an Assistant Buyer across multiple product categories, branded buying would be a bonus.Commercial thinking and market awareness.Very good knowledge of the sports and outdoor market and competition.
