Our client is looking for an experienced and confident Asbestos Supervisor to join their established environmental services team. This is a crucial leadership position responsible for overseeing the safe and compliant execution of asbestos removal projects across a range of environments - including schools, commercial, and public sector properties.
You will lead site teams, ensure best practices in health and safety, maintain quality standards, and act as a key point of contact between operatives, clients, and management.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and manage site teams carrying out asbestos removal and remediation works.
- Ensure compliance with all current asbestos regulations and company procedures.
- Conduct daily site briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure full understanding of RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
- Liaise directly with clients, site managers, analysts, and internal departments.
- Oversee completion of project documentation, including site logs, clearance paperwork, and incident reports.
- Monitor and uphold health and safety standards across all phases of the project.
- Provide on-the-job training and support to asbestos operatives.
- Act as a role model for safe and professional conduct on-site.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a supervisory role within the asbestos removal industry.
- Up-to-date, relevant asbestos qualifications (e.g. ARCA/ACAD Supervisor training).
- Valid Enhanced DBS certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Strong knowledge of HSE guidelines, asbestos regulations (CAR 2012), and best practice.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling in various site conditions.
- Experience working in sensitive environments, such as schools or healthcare settings.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- A proactive and positive attitude towards team leadership and safety culture.
