Application Support Engineer – FinTech – £120KOur client is a growing financial technology (FinTech) firm, based in brand-new offices central Newcastle.They build innovative, in-house, software for algo trading, investment and asset managers and banks around the world, and are growing their Application and Support Engineering team.In a varied role you’ll be involved in client-facing support across the business, supporting complex, sophisticated, trading applications – 2nd and 3rd line support.You’ll worked closely with Development, Quant and DevOps teams to build and implement improvements, manage new code deployments and drive automation.Requirements:Experience in a similar Application Support / Support Engineering positionAbility to work with demanding clients, supporting applications and delivering releasesFinTech, FS and / or SaaS experienceCoding experience to be able to fix bugs and troubleshootExperience of supporting and improving applicationsSQL knowledgeGood Infrastructure (Windows, Linux, networking etc) understandingExperience of monitoring and automationDevOps and Cloud (Azure) knowledge is idealExcellent academic background (top university, strong A Levels etc)
