AM2 Assessor / Examiner Location – On-Site – Oxford Salary – Up to £52,000 Contract – Full-time 35 hours a week (Associate work can\’t be considered at this time) Are you passionate about electrical training and development? We\’re looking for an experienced electrical professional to take the lead in managing and delivering assessments at a new AM2 Centre in Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the next generation of electricians by ensuring high-quality assessment standards are met and maintained.About the RoleIn this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the AM2 assessment centre. You’ll coordinate and deliver assessments, manage candidate registrations and ensure the centre remains compliant with all relevant industry and quality standards.Don’t have your AM2 Assessor accreditation yet? That’s not a problem – full support and training will be provided to help you gain the necessary approvals.What you\’ll be doing? Lead and manage the induction and AM2 assessment process, maintaining high levels of professionalism, quality and safety.Register and assess AM2 candidates in line with national industry guidelines and standards.Ensure all documentation and assessment resources are accurate, up to date and meet compliance requirements.Maintain centre approval status through consistent quality assurance and adherence to relevant frameworks.Collaborate with internal teams and promote the centre to employers, learners, and partners.Provide excellent customer service by responding to queries from apprentices, employers and other stakeholders.Keep up to date with changes in regulations, equipment and best practices in the electrical industry.Support internal and external audits and inspections as required.Contribute to other duties as needed by management.What we\’re looking for?Essential:NVQ Level 3 in Installing and Commissioning Electrical Systems & Equipment (or equivalent), or City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 and 2.Qualification in current edition of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).Level 3 Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations (e.g. 2391 or 2394/5).Significant post-qualification experience within the electrical industry.Familiarity with AM2 assessment processes, equipment, and materials.Assessor qualification (D32/D33, A1 or equivalent).Must already hold Trainer/ Tutor / Instructor / Assessor / Lecturer experience Strong IT and presentation skills.Valid First Aid at Work certificate (or willingness to obtain).Desirable:Certificate in Education or recognised teaching qualification.Emergency First Aid at Work certificate.Teaching experience in electrical installation subjects.Internal Verifier qualification (D34/V1 or equivalent).Please note: This is a full-time, permanent position (35 hours per week) and all duties must be carried out on-site.
