Linkby is a global VC-funded adtech business that connects both established and emerging D2C ecommerce brands with the world’s largest publishers – including Mail Metro Media, Reach Plc, Hearst, Bauer Media Group, ESI Media and more – helping them to work together more profitably, and effectively, than ever before through our suite of products and services. As we continue to expand our UK footprint and product offering, we’re looking for an all-guns-blazing Agency Partnerships Lead to join our talented sales team, leading on scaling up our presence in-market across key media agencies to sell our performance-based product suite and grow our agency revenue stream. This role is open to candidates who can work in London only.
This is a unique opportunity to work with a global team intent on disrupting the way the world’s most exciting digital media brands monetise their audiences, with a focus on high-quality e-commerce content that sits perfectly alongside publishers’ organic content. An ideal candidate has 5 years+ professional experience working at or with media agencies in the UK, with sales experience in the digital marketing or tech / SaaS space being preferred. This role will also require experience managing direct reports, and an extensive network of relevant agency contacts they can leverage in this role.
Please note that this is a hybrid role and requires one day a week in the London office (mandatory), though flexibility to attend in-person meetings and networking at agencies is expected to be successful.
Responsibilities
- Prospect, conduct meetings, and onboard/sell the Linkby platform to key prospective media agencies across London, unlocking new spenders and ultimately driving increased agency revenue for both our CPC and CPM product offering.
- Develop a go-to-market strategy to ensure our product suite becomes a staple on agencies\’ media plans, including Linkby Marketplace (CPC) and Linkby Pubfeed (CPM).
- Spearhead senior level conversations at key media agencies, including leading agency wide presentations, to scale these relationships into a fruitful, long-term partnership.
- Be present in-market, including in-person meetings with agency contacts, attending / speaking at conferences and locking in networking opportunities to build Linkby’s customer base.
- Manage and grow team revenue Month on Month and Year on Year in guidance with monthly & yearly targets.
- Manage a small team of direct reports to ensure they are achieving their sales KPIs / upkeep of our internal CRM, as well as maximising our agency presence across the UK.
- Respond to agency campaign briefs effectively to increase revenue across the agency stream.
- Maintain an individual pipeline of active agency clients to hit monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Report quarterly on agreed KPIs / revenue targets to your Country Lead & Head of Global Sales.
- Lead the development of broader internal and external agency management processes to improve efficiency and external initiatives to drive growth further.
- Lead on customer service issues if/when they occur, finding solutions that balance both customer and business needs/interests.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working within, or being the sales representative for tier 1-2 UK media agencies (London preferred).
- Extensive existing network of client contacts at tier 1-2 media agencies, with a preference for candidates with strong relationships at GroupM (Wavemaker), IPG (Initiative / UM), Omnicom (PHD) and Dentsu (Carat London).
- Strong experience managing direct reports and reporting upward to leadership teams.
- Experience selling digital marketing, publishing and Adtech products/solutions to agencies.
- Affable personality energised by interactions internally with the team, and externally with clients.
- Inherently motivated to lead new initiatives, problem-solving challenges, and identify existing opportunities to optimise/improve.
- Proficient Written & Verbal Communication Skills – Everything from leading written cold email outreach to closing deals on video calls or in-person.
- Enjoy & thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- £60-65k Annual Base Salary, based on relevant experience
