We are working in partnership with a well-established nursery to appoint a full-time, permanent Early Years Practitioner. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and motivated professional to develop a long-term career within a high-quality early year setting. As an Early Years Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high standards of care and education in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will support children’s learning and development by creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment, while ensuring full compliance with all safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality childcare and early years education to children aged 0–5 years
- Implement engaging and creative teaching methods to stimulate learning and development
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum
- Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children
- Actively promote positive child development and behaviour management strategies
- Build meaningful relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ensure the nursery meets all safeguarding standards and health and safety regulations
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, Childcare, Teaching and Learning, or a related field
- A minimum of GCSE qualifications (or equivalent) – evidence of these will be required
- Paediatric First Aid (Desirable but not essential)
- Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting, or current enrolment in a relevant childcare course
- A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development principles
- A genuine passion for working with children and delivering exceptional care and education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, proactive attitude towards teamwork and continuous improvement
