Link3 Recruitment is seeking an experienced and dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join a welcoming primary school in NG5. This is a part-time, 3 days per week maternity cover role, starting ASAP, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils' learning and development. The role includes a day working from home every two weeks, providing flexibility alongside on-site responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the school's Special Educational Needs provision
  • Support and advise staff on strategies and interventions for pupils with additional needs
  • Monitor the progress of SEND pupils and maintain up-to-date records
  • Work collaboratively with parents, staff, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
  • Contribute to the school's inclusion and safeguarding policies

Requirements

  • SENCO qualification is ideal, but very experienced candidates without formal SENCO accreditation will be considered
  • Previous experience in a SENCO or SEND support role in a primary school setting

  • DBS: Applicants must hold an Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one prior to starting. The cost of a DBS will be covered by the applicant
