An outstanding secondary school in Coventry is seeking an exceptional and forward-thinking Head of Computer Science to join its successful team on a permanent, full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will:
- Provide strong academic and pastoral leadership within the Computer Science department.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons across all key stages.
- Lead curriculum design and innovation, ensuring alignment with current technologies and best practice.
- Monitor and enhance pupil progress and achievement.
- Play an integral role in developing the school’s digital learning strategy and supporting colleagues in embedding technology across the curriculum.
We are seeking a candidate who:
- Is a qualified Computer Science Teacher with proven experience teaching GCSE and A Level.
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge across programming (e.g. Python, Java), algorithms, systems architecture, networks, and cybersecurity.
- Has the vision and leadership skills to inspire both students and staff.
- Is committed to fostering innovation, collaboration, and academic excellence.
- Brings a genuine passion for preparing students for success in a rapidly evolving digital world.
