We are currently recruiting an Extraction Technician to support the development and scale-up of extraction projects based at a Production site in Barrow upon Humber. This is initially a 12-month FTC and we are looking for process-minded individuals who are looking for a fresh challenge.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and test microalgae cell disruption and pre-treatment methods
- Optimise solvent-based and mechanical oil extraction processes
- Run laboratory and pilot-scale trials
- Analyse oil yield, purity, and EPA content
- Document results and support process improvement
About You
- BSc or MSc in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biochemical Engineering, or similar
- Hands-on experience with oil extraction and process optimisation
- Knowledge of cell disruption and lipid analysis
- Experience with microalgae or microbial biomass is an advantage
- Based in the UK or willing to relocate
