Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Engineer to provide essential technical support for our grid-scale battery storage projects. This role ensures the technical integrity and performance of battery storage systems throughout the project lifecycle - from design and procurement through construction and commissioning. You'll work closely with sales teams throughout tendering processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the battery storage systems meet technical specifications, operational requirements, and performance standards throughout design, construction, and commissioning.
- Review technical designs for compliance with industry standards and assist in developing equipment specifications and selecting suitable components.
- Provide expert technical input to the Project Manager, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and sound decision-making during project delivery.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, maintain quality standards, and ensure adherence to regulatory and safety requirements.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in project engineering, including delivery of at least one BESS project through to energisation.
- Solid understanding of battery modules, inverters, transformers, control systems, and grid interconnection processes.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with familiarity in standards such as IEC and IEEE.
- Proven ability to solve technical problems, communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
