An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to open, develop and nurture a beautiful, new three‑bedded residential home for children and young people within the Crewe area. We are looking for someone who knows how to make a house a home. This opportunity will see you lead and inspire your own team and, with your guidance, the team will ensure that the children living within the home have outstanding care, great role models and a safe place to call home.

You will be joining an amazing organisation that provides beautiful, safe and secure homes for children and young people aged 7‑18 with backgrounds of emotional behavioural difficulties and associated learning difficulties. The homes offer long‑term placements where children and young people receive a high level of nurturing and therapeutic care. Children and young people are supported to attend school and activities and are instilled with confidence and life‑skills, aiming for the best possible outcomes for children and young people.

Key responsibilities

As the Registered Manager you’ll be at the heart of a dynamic residential team, helping to create a safe, supportive space where young people can thrive. Your work will be essential in empowering young people, strengthening relationships, and building the foundations for long‑term stability and positive change. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care and support in a safe, nurturing environment for the young people. You will lead and support a team helping them deliver outstanding care that promotes stability, growth, independence and positive outcomes.

You will play a key role in shaping the future of the home, leading by example. You’ll be one of the home’s leadership team, supervising care, and giving young people the support they need to thrive. You will help ensure the home meets all legislation, including Children’s Homes Regulations, quality standards and policies. You will be responsible for the home’s budgets, resources and the home environment, driving continuous improvement and ensuring the home’s statement of purpose is fulfilled.

Key requirements
  • Extensive experience in children's residential care management.
  • A strong understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to providing a nurturing and empowering environment.
  • You hold an NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma for the Children's and Young People's Workforce.
  • You also hold your QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Children's Services or be willing to undertake this qualification as part of the role.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
