The Development Manager will support our client’s growth ambitions across renewable projects by securing planning permissions, managing land agreements, and driving development opportunities from feasibility through to construction. This role requires hands-on experience in pre-construction and construction phases, with a focus on delivering large-scale renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of projects from feasibility to construction, including planning applications, discharge of conditions, and securing necessary consents.
- Negotiate and manage property agreements, options, leases, and ancillary rights required for development, construction, and operation.
- Identify and assess new development opportunities, managing consultants and stakeholders to progress projects efficiently.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and external stakeholders (councils, planning authorities, landowners, and contractors) to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Monitor and control development budgets, escape risks, and report project progress to senior management.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in renewable energy development, with exposure to pre-construction, construction, and operational phases.
- Strong knowledge of land acquisition, property agreements, and planning processes.
- Proven ability to manage consultants and multi-disciplinary project teams.
