Overview:
The Manager, Remuneration & Benefits UK will be based on a hybrid basis from our stunning city centre office in Leeds, reporting to the Director, Remuneration & Benefits, based out of Australia.
The role holder will lead the UK-based Remuneration & Benefits team, combining strategic leadership with hands-on delivery of remuneration and benefits programmes, including key projects such as onboarding a new pension provider and managing the annual benefits enrolment window. You’ll also provide expert support to HR Business Partners and senior leaders across the UK and Ireland, ensuring the delivery of strategic and operational initiatives across the region.
Please note that the role is part of a global team, so you will need the flexibility to work outside core business hours as required.

What you need:
As with any role, we want to find the right person and we want to make sure you know it’s the right role for you too. You will need:
• A strong understanding of UK and Irish employment law pension schemes and benefits compliance
• Demonstrable experience managing remuneration and benefits programmes, including salary benchmarking, annual pay reviews and consultations on flexible benefits
• Previous experience leading, supporting and developing a team, in addition to managing complex projects across multiple regions
• Excellent stakeholder management with experience supporting senior leaders
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
• An analytical mindset, with a proficiency in data interpretation and reporting
• Previous experience of working with an HRIS such as Oracle or Workday
Day to Day, you will:
• Support the delivery of the global reward strategy, including best practice job architecture and a remuneration framework to drive the desired strategic outcomes across the business
• Own the UK & Ireland benefits processes and programmes, including contractual insurances, voluntary benefits and pension obligations and linking business needs to the reward strategy, ensuring programmes support talent attraction, retention and engagement
• Drive the development and refinement of processes and practices to align with business goals and the remuneration & benefits roadmap
• Ensure remuneration practices and employee benefit offerings at MUFG Pension & Market Services are aligned to industry benchmarks across the UK & ROI locations
• Lead the onboarding of a new pension provider, including vendor engagement, implementation planning and stakeholder communication
• Manage the annual benefits enrolment window, ensuring timely execution, employee engagement and compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Provide remuneration support and consultancy to HR stakeholders during the annual global salary and bonus review process, including effective communication to different business areas and the HR teams
• Oversee compliance with automatic enrolment obligations and reporting in the UK
• Support benchmarking and analytics for pay, including salary survey submissions and market competitiveness assessments for the UK & Ireland, in addition to supporting the remuneration review cycle
• Provide advice and guidance on our approach to global mobility, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives
• Provide support with the annual goal setting and performance management cycle
• Lead and develop the Remuneration & Benefits team in the UK, fostering a high-performance culture, ensuring alignment with global and regional HR strategies
• Provide expert support to HR Business Partners and senior leaders in the UK and Ireland on topics such as the Gender Pay Gap, benefits strategy, global mobility and TUPE, in addition to ensuring our compliance with legislative requirements, including the National Minimum/Living Wage, Gender Pay Gap Reporting and the Remuneration Code
• Provide insight and analysis of reporting data and manage third-party suppliers
• Work collaboratively with Payroll, Finance and the Tax teams on pay and benefit related matters, fostering strong working relationships
