This post is based at Link’s Edinburgh office. However, hybrid working is available in this role. Hours of Work: 35 per week (2 days office based and 3 at home – flexibility required). Alternative working patterns and/or working arrangements will be considered.

Link operates a group finance function which covers all aspects of financial administration and management. The Finance Business Partner will provide a high quality, accurate, and comprehensive financial and management accounting service to a portfolio of partners and business units within the Link group. The role involves the provision of financial reporting, business and strategic planning, budgeting services, and general financial advice. The Finance Business Partner will also be required to present financial information to Boards of Management. The successful candidate will report to a Senior Finance Business Partner and work closely with the relevant Directors, Managers and budget holders. The post holder will have a thorough understanding of the business plans and services provided by the subsidiaries and business units supported and will take ownership for the provision of financial reporting and contribute to financial advice, support, and solutions to support the business when required.
About You
You will ideally be a qualified accountant with a recognised accounting body (e.g. ICAS, ACA, ACCA, CIMA), or part qualified and actively studying (with a demonstrable pathway to qualification within 2 years of appointment). The successful candidate will have proven experience in a financial or management accounting role combined with experience of building successful relationships with people at all levels and with non-finance business partners, demonstrated by your ability to present financial information to a varied audience. Advanced level of IT skills and excellent knowledge of Microsoft systems (Excel, Word), web enabled IT tools and software, knowledge and experience of financial ledger systems and knowledge and experience of housing, charities, social care, social enterprise, property, or other voluntary sector organisations are also beneficial.
