The Role: C~urb PSL, part of Link Group, is looking for an Edinburgh-based Housing Officer to deliver a professional tenancy management service to customers. Reporting to the Tenancy Services Supervisor, the role involves tenancy sign-ups, regular visits and signposting for support or money advice, making housing benefit claims and handling arrears, reporting repairs, managing tenancy breaches, and bringing tenancies to an end. The role sits within a wider team of Housing Officers within the Private Sector Leasing (PSL) Service provided by Link on behalf of the City of Edinburgh Council. You will be self-motivated to work as a lone worker and as part of a team with a commitment to excellent customer service. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as are organisational skills, attention to detail, adaptability, problem solving and time management skills. You will need an awareness of housing benefit and wider welfare benefit issues although training will be provided. You will have experience of following procedures and of using a range of IT packages. This role requires a full driving licence and access to a car for work.

In return: You will be offered the opportunity to enhance your skills and knowledge through employee training and development. What’s in it for you? As an Investor in People, we strive for continuous improvement through the management and growth of our staff, offering a wide range of training and development opportunities. As a C~urb PSL employee, you’ll likely benefit from the following:

  • Competitive salary, reviewed annually, with opportunities for annual performance-related salary increases and discretionary non-consolidated pay awards (subject to scheme terms)
  • 35 days holiday per year (inclusive of public holidays) pro rata, plus an additional 1 day pro rata after 1 year of service up to a maximum of 40 days per year
  • Option to buy and sell holiday days
  • Enhanced company sick and family-friendly pay
  • Access to paid qualifications and a wide range of learning and development opportunities and funded professional membership
  • Defined contribution pension with matched employer contributions and salary exchange options
  • Access to an Electric vehicle leasing scheme (terms apply)
  • Life assurance scheme providing death in service benefits
  • Healthcare cash plan for employees and dependents to support health and wellbeing, plus discounts on shopping and services
  • Employee assistance programme for employees and their immediate household dependants
  • Annual flu vaccination
  • Access to a savings and borrowing scheme
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Travel season/travel ticket loan and more

You will work with colleagues who offer support to ensure our customers’ expectations are met. This role is subject to Level 1 Disclosure check under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020.
