LinkLiving is a Scottish health and wellbeing charity supporting people to overcome the effects of difficult life experiences, including trauma, mental health challenges, poverty and inequality. Our services include personal development and employability programmes, self-help coaching, supported accommodation, care at home, housing support, befriending and social cafés.
The Service LinkLiving Skills Academy provides high-quality training and learning opportunities for professionals across the sector. Using interactive approaches that combine discussion, activities and practical learning, we help participants develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles. We are also a Qualifications Scotland accredited training centre with over 10 years’ experience delivering qualifications.
This role will deliver accredited leadership programmes, trauma-informed training and personal development workshops to frontline professionals across Link Group, partner organisations and external agencies. The role requires travel across local authority areas and may occasionally involve overnight stays.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering SCQF accredited leadership courses (Levels 6, 7 and 8)
- Delivering trauma-informed training aligned to the NHS Education for Scotland (NES) framework
- Facilitating personal development workshops for professionals
- Monitoring and evaluating training to maintain high quality standards
- Promoting training opportunities to internal and external partners
- Maintaining knowledge of best practice in leadership and trauma-informed approaches
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and partner organisations
About You
You are educated to diploma level (or equivalent) and have a training qualification or substantial experience designing and delivering training programmes. You are a Qualifications Scotland Assessor/Verifier, or willing to work towards this.
You understand issues affecting people who are excluded or marginalised and have knowledge of the NES Trauma Informed Framework. You are committed to person-centred practice and skilled at building supportive and positive relationships.
You are an effective communicator who can adapt your approach to different audiences and situations. You can work independently, manage competing priorities and contribute positively within a team.
You are confident using technology for communication, data recording and reporting, and have experience working in partnership with external organisations. You hold a current driving licence and have access to a roadworthy vehicle, with flexibility to travel across Scotland.
