Service Hours: 30 per week (between Monday–Friday, 8am–6.30pm)

The Falkirk Core & Cluster project supports care‑experienced young people aged 16–21, including those arriving via the National Transfer Scheme. Working with Link Housing Association, we provide tenancies alongside a central hub, delivering flexible, person‑centred support to help young people build independent living skills and access education, training and employment.
As a Senior Practitioner, you will take a trauma‑informed approach to supporting young people with complex needs. You will manage key‑working responsibilities, coordinate support packages and contribute to service leadership, including mentoring colleagues where appropriate. You will build strong, respectful relationships with young people, carry out assessments and reviews, and provide practical, emotional and social support. The role involves multi‑agency working, advocacy and helping individuals develop the skills and confidence to sustain tenancies and make positive life choices.
You will be compassionate, proactive and experienced in working with care‑experienced young people. You should have:
- Standard Grade (or equivalent) English and Maths
- SVQ Social Services & Healthcare SCQF Level 6 (or willingness to work towards Level 7 and a relevant supervisory qualification)
- Strong knowledge of social care, housing, welfare rights and support systems
- Experience of multi‑agency working and supporting marginalised groups
You will be non‑judgemental, organised and confident using IT systems, with strong communication, decision‑making and relationship‑building skills. A commitment to inclusion and continuous learning is essential.
