The Role
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will take responsibility for managing and delivering civil engineering projects while coordinating with clients, project teams and internal stakeholders. You’ll play a key role in ensuring high‑quality project delivery, supporting the development of junior engineers and contributing to the continued success and growth of the London office.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage appropriate projects with full liaison with clients and third parties
- Coordinate with Link’s project engineers, technicians and senior team in scheme delivery
- Effectively manage risks within the area of your responsibility at a H&S and commercial level
- Take technical ownership of the production of drawings, calculations, reports and design documents, overseeing the work of team members
- Independently use design software, including AutoCAD, Causeway Flow, Civil 3D, KeySign and Lighting Reality
- Review or prepare project briefs and fee proposals to appropriately allocate resource and programme works for delivery with scope of agreed works, whilst being aware of additional work opportunities.
- Support development of project cost estimates
- Analyse technical problems, assessing the feasibility of proposed techniques and procedures, and devising new approaches and alternative solutions
About You
You’ll be an experienced Civil Engineer with strong technical expertise, project management capability and a desire to take ownership of project delivery.
- Experience delivering civil engineering projects within a consultancy environment
- Strong understanding of infrastructure design and project delivery
- Experience communicating with clients and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and relevant civil engineering design software
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
