Job Purpose

Our client is a leading provider of data centre design, supply, build, and managed services, delivering integrated solutions to operators worldwide. They are seeking an experienced Mobile HVAC Engineer to support mission-critical data centre environments. This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimising cooling systems that underpin 24/7 operations. You will work on live environments where uptime, resilience, and compliance are critical, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance on essential cooling infrastructure across multiple sites.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on:
  • Specialist liquid-to-chip cooling systems (OEM training provided)
  • Air- and water-cooled chillers
  • CRAC / CRAH units
  • DX and chilled water systems
  • Adiabatic and free-cooling solutions
  • Diagnose and rectify faults on live, critical systems without disruption
  • Maintain N+1 / 2N redundancy and support failover testing
  • Interface with BMS / DCIM systems to monitor alarms, trends, and performance
  • Support commissioning, system flushing, structured startup, and balancing
  • Support upgrades and system optimisation projects
  • Participate in a call-out rota supporting 24/7 operations
  • Work safely under Permit to Work systems, including:
    • RAMS
    • Isolation and LOTO procedures
  • Complete all service reports, compliance documentation, and fault logs accurately
  • Ensure adherence to F-Gas regulations and HSE standards
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards in critical environments
  • Liaise professionally with:
    • Data centre operations teams
    • Facilities management teams
