Setting Out Engineer - Civils

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct site set-out work using engineers’ drawings, site surveys, and producing as-built drawings
• Analyse and interpret technical drawings for site layouts, material measurements, and project specifications
• Oversee subcontractors and the on-site workforce to ensure smooth operations
• Develop and implement efficient work plans to meet project timelines
• Communicate effectively with client representatives and Design Team members as needed
• Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations at all times
• Uphold high-quality standards in all construction activities
• Track and manage materials on-site, ensuring accurate records are maintained
• Prepare detailed site reports and maintain comprehensive documentation

Candidate Requirements

• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in civil engineering.
• Proficient in IT and construction-related software
• At least 2 years of on-site experience (experience level may vary by role)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proactive approach with a focus on safety, quality, and meeting deadlines
• Team-oriented with strong organisational skills
• Valid full UK driving licence
