They are now looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer seeking a long‑term career opportunity within a business that offers clear direction, stability, and progression.
Role: This is a varied, hands‑on field‑based role working across a wide range of plant and industrial equipment. You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and completing servicing and preventative maintenance at customer sites across the UK.
- Approx. 70% site-based work (nationwide travel)
- Approx. 30% yard‑based support
- Occasional overnight stays required
- Primarily independent working
You will act as a key representative on‑site, delivering a reliable, high‑quality service while maintaining excellent customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on plant and industrial equipment
- Carry out servicing and preventative maintenance to a high standard
- Communicate clearly with customers, explaining issues and solutions
- Complete digital job reports and compliance documentation accurately
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship
- Represent the business professionally while working independently
What We're Looking For: We're looking for a capable and confident engineer who takes pride in their work and delivers consistently high standards.
Essential Qualifications:
- Strong experience working with plant machinery, access equipment, forklifts, HGVs, or similar
- Confident fault‑finding across hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Proven servicing and maintenance experience
- Ability to work independently and make decisions on‑site
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plant, Engineering, or similar
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
