The Electrical Project Manager will lead the delivery of mission‑critical electrical packages across hyperscale and enterprise data‑centre projects in West London. This role oversees planning, coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning of LV/MV systems, ensuring compliance with client specifications, UK regulations, and data‑centre technical standards. The position requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple contractors in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project leadership — Manage full electrical project lifecycle including planning, resourcing, procurement, installation, QA/QC, and commissioning across complex data‑centre environments.
  • Technical oversight — Oversee delivery of LV/MV distribution, UPS systems, generators, busbar, containment, critical cooling interfaces, fire alarm, BMS, and monitoring systems.
  • Contractor & stakeholder coordination — Lead daily coordination with electrical contractors, general contractors, client representatives, design teams, and commissioning partners to maintain programme certainty.
  • Programme & cost control — Track progress, manage budgets, forecast labour and materials, and ensure delivery against milestones, change orders, and commercial targets.
  • Quality & compliance — Enforce UK electrical regulations, CDM requirements, data‑centre standards, ITPs, RAMS, and technical specifications through inspections, audits, and documentation control.
  • Safety management — Ensure strict adherence to PTW, LOTO, HV safety rules, and site H&S protocols; lead toolbox talks and support incident prevention.
  • Commissioning readiness — Prepare systems for integrated systems testing (IST), FAT/SAT, energisation, and final handover to the client commissioning team.

Required Experience

  • 5–10+ years in electrical project management or senior electrical supervision.
  • Proven delivery of data‑centre, critical‑infrastructure, or large‑scale industrial electrical packages.
  • Strong understanding of LV/MV systems, UPS, generators, busbar, containment, and IST processes.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (Procore, Aconex, MS Project, etc.).

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 or higher in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
  • SSSTS/SMSTS preferred.
  • 18th Edition (BS 7671).
  • ECS/CSCS card.
  • Additional data‑centre or HV certifications beneficial.
