We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Draughtsman to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings for mechanical services projects, including HVAC and plumbing systems. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality design outputs that meet project specifications and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed mechanical services drawings using AutoCAD (2D and/or 3D) and other relevant CAD software.
- Prepare coordination drawings for mechanical systems, working with other services (electrical, structural, architectural).
- Revise and update drawings based on engineering markups and project changes.
- Produce layouts, schematics, and construction drawings for HVAC, plumbing, and fire systems.
- Collaborate with project engineers, site teams, and external consultants to gather information and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain drawing records and ensure document control protocols are followed.
- Assist in design development by producing concept layouts when required.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, local codes, and company procedures.
- Participate in site visits and surveys to collect design information or verify installation details.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a CAD Draughtsman, within the mechanical building services sector.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (and preferably knowledge of Revit MEP or other 3D modelling tools).
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical system design.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
