The Senior Risk Analyst, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) will support the Head of ERM in the delivery of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) and risk oversight. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to embed risk awareness and support a range of risk management activities, including deep dives, emerging risk analysis, Own Risk & Solvency Assessment (ORSA) reporting, risk appetite, control effectiveness, and in the administration, maintenance and support of MS Amlin’s GRC tool.

About The Job

  • Take ownership of and drive the effective implementation and continuous improvement of key components within the ERMF;
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across all business functions to understand priorities, risk landscapes, and emerging risks;
  • Participate in core risk management activities, including risk identification, monitoring, reporting, and supporting the business in establishing and maintaining an effective control environment;
  • Support the definition, ongoing monitoring and regular review of risk appetite, tolerances and KRIs, preparing and presenting comprehensive reports to management committees and the Board;
  • Investigate and track risk events through to resolution, ensuring timely and accurate reporting;
  • Provide input into the ORSA to promote its use as a value-add report that supports and informs risk-based decision making;
  • Contribute to the integrated assurance plan through deep dives and risk opinions across a range of risk areas and departments;
  • Participate in operational and project meetings to provide risk management advice and challenge to business stakeholders;
  • Help coordinate the Lloyd’s Principles-Based Oversight (PBO) attestation, helping stakeholders evidence how MS Amlin meets Lloyd’s expectations;
  • Prepare clear, concise, and impactful risk reporting to Senior Management and committees;
  • Champion a culture of risk awareness across the organisation.

Governance, Risk and Compliance Tooling

  • Administrator for MS Amlin’s GRC tool (Decision Focus);
  • Responsibility for the design and deployment of enhancements, ensuring that the tool remains fit for purpose and continues to meet the expectations of the Risk Function and other key end users;
  • Responsible for investigating and recommending ways to improve how the tooling is used and, specifically, how automation is used to enhance risk reporting;
  • Responsible for the delivery of Decision Focus training and support to users;
  • Responsible for the design and execution of bespoke modules using the existing GRC module to maximise Decision Focus’ capabilities;
  • Engage and liaise with stakeholders across the Risk and Compliance team and Line 1.5 functions to provide support, gather requirements and manage expectations in relation to the design and use of the GRC modules;
  • Contribute to the design, development and effective use of the GRC system to strengthen the Risk Management Framework.

What you’ll need

  • Solid risk management experience;
  • Prior experience with Decision Focus, including experience in the design and deployment of the tool;
  • Good execution skills and an ability to remain resilient under pressure and change;
  • Ability to participate meaningfully in meetings with stakeholders;
  • Experience of risk management frameworks and processes;
  • Good organisational and analytical skills;
  • Strong analytical skills and experience of writing reports;
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate in writing and verbally;
  • Strong self-management capability – can effectively manage own time and actively prioritise.
