The Role
We are looking for a passionate Primary Teaching Assistant to provide support within the classroom, helping teachers deliver engaging lessons and assisting students in their learning journey. In this Temp to Perm role, you will play a key part in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, ensuring they meet the needs of all students.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them with their learning activities.
- Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN), adapting resources where necessary.
- Assist in classroom management, encouraging positive behaviour and engagement.
- Help prepare teaching materials and set up the classroom for daily activities.
- Support teachers with assessment and progress tracking, ensuring all students reach their potential.
- Supervise children during break times, school trips, and extra-curricular activities.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience working in a primary school or similar educational setting.
- Qualifications: A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
- Skills:
- A genuine passion for supporting children s learning and development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting young learners.
- All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) prior to working if not already in possession of one that is registered to the update service.
