This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a nurturing & inclusive educational environment.
The Role
We are looking for a compassionate, proactive, & experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of learning difficulties, social & emotional needs, or behavioural challenges. The role involves working 1:1 or with small groups & may include personal care duties.
This is a full-time role, & applicants must drive & have relevant SEN experience within UK schools.
Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored support to students with a variety of SEN (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, & communication difficulties)

Support teachers with planning & delivering inclusive learning activities
-
Promote positive behaviour & implement behaviour management strategies
-
Build strong, trusting relationships with students to help them reach their full potential

Contribute to EHCP reviews & work closely with SENCOs, parents/carers, & external professionals

Maintain accurate records of pupil progress & wellbeing
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Experience: Minimum 1 year of SEN support experience within a UK school setting

Driving Licence: Must have a full UK driving licence & access to own transport

Availability: Must be available full-time, Monday to Friday during term time

Training: Knowledge of safeguarding, de-escalation, & basic behaviour management

Strong communication & interpersonal skills

Empathetic, patient, & adaptable approach to working with vulnerable children

Confidence working independently or within a team

Background Checks
All applicants must hold or be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce). If not registered to the update service, the cost may be passed to the applicant.
