Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH) – Primary / Secondary\\n\\nLocation: NG5\\nJob Type: Full-time / Part-time\\nWork Location: In person\\n\\nJob Overview\\n\\nLink3 Recruitment is seeking a compassionate, patient, and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within a primary or secondary school setting in the NG5 area. This role is well suited to individuals with experience supporting children with additional or complex needs who are committed to helping young people thrive both academically and emotionally.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\n * \\n\\n Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH needs\\n\\n * \\n\\n Support emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social development\\n\\n * \\n\\n Assist teachers in maintaining a structured, safe, and inclusive learning environment\\n\\n * \\n\\n Deliver targeted interventions and contribute to individual support plans\\n\\n * \\n\\n Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families\\n\\n * \\n\\n Support pupils in managing conflict and developing effective coping strategies\\n\\n * \\n\\n Encourage engagement, confidence, and positive learning behaviours\\n\\nRequirements\\n\\n * \\n\\n Relevant experience supporting children with SEMH, SEN, behavioural, or complex needs in a school or similar setting\\n\\n * \\n\\n Strong communication skills with the ability to apply de-escalation strategies effectively\\n\\n * \\n\\n A calm, patient, and resilient approach\\n\\n * \\n\\n Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff, SEN teams, and pastoral staff\\n\\n * \\n\\n A genuine commitment to supporting the wellbeing and development of young people\\n\\nSafeguarding & Compliance\\n\\n * \\n\\n Right to Work in the UK (essential)\\n\\n * \\n\\n Enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce), registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply prior to starting\\n (DBS cost covered by the applicant)\\n\\nWhat We Offer\\n\\n * \\n\\n Competitive daily pay (£100.00 – £120.00)\\n\\n * \\n\\n Ongoing support from a dedicated education consultant\\n\\n * \\n\\n Opportunities for long-term and permanent placements\\n\\n * \\n\\n The opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting difference in pupils’ lives\\n\\nIf you are passionate about supporting children with SEMH needs and are looking for a rewarding SEN Teaching Assistant role in NG5, we would love to hear from you.\\n\\nApply today to join Link3 Recruitment
