We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, and energetic SEN Teaching Assistant who is committed to providing the highest quality education and support for children in Leicester.
This SEN Teaching Assistant role is very flexible and can be full or part-time starting on a temporary basis, with the potential of progressing to a permanent position. We require a skilled and well-qualified SEN Teaching Assistant that will innovate and raise standards as well as attainment. A good sense of humour, the ability to relate and effectively communicate with young people are essential. This is a great opportunity to join a fantastic Secondary School.
To be successful for this Teaching Assistant position, you will:
- Hold an NVQ Level 2 Childcare, Learning and Development or equivalent.
- Have a good understanding of special educational needs and the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
- Be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude.
- Have a passion for working with children.
- Provide a safe and healthy environment following safeguarding procedures.
- Use innovative and resourceful teaching methods.
- Have experience supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).
