This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils\’ learning and development while working closely with teachers and school leadership in a dynamic and inclusive environment.

The Role:

We are looking for a confident and experienced HLTA to work across classrooms, supporting both pupils and staff. In this temporary role, you will deliver planned lessons, support individual and group learning, and take on responsibilities that support classroom teaching and school-wide learning objectives. This role could become permanent depending on performance and fit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver pre-set lessons under the direction of teaching staff.

  • Support individuals and small groups of pupils, including those with additional needs, to help them reach their full potential.

  • Provide in-class support across various subjects and key stages.

  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and the SENCO.

  • Lead interventions or cover classes as required in the absence of a teacher.

  • Assist in the development of learning resources and classroom displays.

  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.

  • Support with behaviour management and pastoral care as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Experience: At least 1 2 years of experience working in a school setting, ideally as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA.

  • Qualifications: Level 4 Certificate for Higher Level Teaching Assistants.

  • Training: Knowledge of curriculum delivery, lesson planning, and learning intervention strategies.

  • Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills with a flexible and proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning.

Background Checks:

All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) prior to working if not already in possession of one that is registered to the update service.
