Full-time | Long-term (with potential for permanent)
We are recruiting an experienced Behaviour Mentor to support pupils in a specialist SEN school in Derby. This role is ideal for individuals confident in supporting children and young people with SEMH, challenging behaviour and additional needs.
The Role
Providing 1:1 and small group behaviour support
Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, engagement and routine
Implementing behaviour support plans and restorative approaches
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
Promoting positive behaviour and a safe learning environment
Essential Requirements
Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker or similar
SEN / SEMH experience (school, AP or relevant care setting)
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Youth Work, Psychology, Health & Social Care, Education or similar)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
