Shift Pattern: Rotating Days & Afternoons (No Nights)

The Opportunity

Our client, a successful and expanding manufacturing business based in Grimsby, is looking to recruit an experienced Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to strengthen their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement within a fast‐paced production environment, whilst benefiting from a shift pattern that does not include night working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across all production and site equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise production downtime.
  • Support mechanical maintenance activities where required.
  • Fault find on PLC‐controlled machinery and automated equipment.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to machinery breakdowns.
  • Assist with continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
  • Support machinery installations, upgrades and commissioning projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing, FMCG, food production, packaging or industrial environment.
  • Strong electrical fault‐finding and maintenance skills.
  • Experience with PLCs, drives, motors, sensors and control systems.
  • A recognised engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC, HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
  • A good understanding of preventative maintenance systems.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
  • A proactive approach to problem‐solving and continuous improvement.
