This is a casual, flexible position focused on managing restaurant and hospitality areas within ARC's Midlands Racecourses (Uttoxeter, Worcester & Wolverhampton Racecourses). As a restaurant and hospitality manager, you'll take ownership of service delivery, team performance, and operational efficiency across your designated area.
What You'll Do
- Lead, motivate, and support your team to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
- Ensure every guest receives a warm welcome and professional, attentive experience.
- Brief, train, and develop team members so they're confident and event-ready.
- Manage staffing levels, break schedules, and shift planning on the day.
- Maintain stock levels, assist with rotation, and minimise wastage.
- Uphold excellent standards of cleanliness and compliance across Health & Safety, COSHH, and licensing requirements.
- Resolve customer queries or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Create a positive, energetic atmosphere for both guests and staff.
- Drive sales, upselling opportunities, and overall business performance.
- Delegate tasks clearly to ensure smooth, efficient service delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in retail or hospitality management within fast‐paced environments.
- Confident leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support diverse teams.
- Excellent communication and customer service standards.
- Flexible, adaptable, and committed to delivering first‐class experiences.
- Strong problem‐solving skills and the ability to handle challenges calmly.
- Professional, well‐presented, and guest‐focused at all times.
- Experience using tills and PDQ machines.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Background in premium F&B, events, or restaurant management.
- Knowledge of licensing, food hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
- Personal Licence Holder (advantageous).
- Strong organisation, planning, and systems skills.
- Track record of increasing sales and improving operational standards.
- Natural ability to motivate teams and encourage positive working culture.
