The Role: Greenkeeper
As a Greenkeeper at Lingfield Park, you\βll play a vital role in maintaining the high standards expected of both our golf course and grounds. You will work within a dynamic team to ensure all playing surfaces and surrounding areas are kept in pristine condition and are ready to welcome golfers and visitors all year round.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain all areas of the golf course and surroundings in line with best practices and company standards.
- Manage and present fine turf areas (greens, tees, approaches) to the highest possible standard.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of daily, weekly, and seasonal maintenance schedules.
- Support construction and renovation work on course features such as bunkers, tees, and greens.
- Ensure clubhouse surroundings, car parks, lawns, and public spaces are clean, tidy, and well presented.
- Maintain flower beds, planters, and hanging baskets where required.
- Operate and maintain all turfcare machinery and equipment safely and as per manufacturer guidelines.
- Keep paths, roadways, and communal areas clean and clear of rubbish.
What Were Looking For
- Previous experience working in a golf course or sports turf environment.
- NVQ Level 3 in Turf Maintenance/Sports Turf Management (or equivalent) is desirable.
- Full UK driving licence (clean).
- PA1, PA2A & PA6 spraying certificates advantageous.
- Chainsaw qualifications advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
